1st May, 2018 – Salt Lake City
Arrive into Salt Lake City Airport ( SLC ) and be greeted by Wes and Rod and then transferred to our accommodation for the night. After we are all settled in, well go out for a welcome dinner and chat about the plans for the upcoming 10 days. We can even go out shooting this cool city at night for those that are wanting to and for those that don’t, its time to settle in and catch up on some sleep after a long day of travel.

2nd May, 2018 – Torrey, Utah

After breakfast in SLC, its time to make our way to Torrey, Utah. Torrey is about a 3 hour drive from SLC and our home for the next two nights. Its our base to explore places like Capitol Reef, Caineville and the Mars Research Station.

3rd May, 2018 – Torrey, Utah
A sunrise shoot and then breakfast we are off exploring the desert areas that surround this place. Some of these places are straight out of movies sets and have been used in many TV shows and TV Series as well. We will stop for snacks along the way and then return to Torrey later in the evening for dinner and time to relax. It will be a full day of adventure and for those who bring drones ( UAV’s along ) it will be some awesome flying out this way.

4th May, 2018 – Torrey to Escalante

After our last morning in Torrey, we will make our way over the mountain towards Escalante but not before stopping at Calf Creek Falls. This location is about a 5 mile return easy hike but well worth the effort. At night we can explore Hole in The Rock Road and Devils Gardens for some night time photography.

5th May, 2018 – Escalante to Page, Arizona
A slower start to the day today and after breakfast we will make our way towards Page, home of Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon, amongst other things. The drive will take us through Cottonwood Canyon and Kodachrome Basin before arriving into Page later in the afternoon. Dinner tonight is at the best Pub in town, The Dam Bar.

6th May, 2018 – Page
A super early start this morning as we wake up and drive to Alstrom Point . This location is of the beaten track but is one of my fav places in the SW USA. After an epic morning at Alstrom Point, its off to another location that will blow you away, White Pocket. We will be out here all afternoon and into the night then return to Page afterwards. This is a massive day with a bit of driving, but we will provide snacks along the way and we will have a bbq dinner out at White Pocket… an awesome way to finish the day.

7th May, 2018 – Page to Monument Valley
A sunrise this morning at Horseshoe Bend then a few hours to relax before checking out and making our way towards Monument Valley. For those that want to, we can arrange a monster truck tour to the famous Antelope Canyon if you like ( not included on the trip cost ). We will stay at The View motel in Monument Valley tonight, enabling us to shoot into the night and first thing in the morning before making our way to Moab, Utah the next day.

8th May, 2018 – Monument Valley to Moab
After a sunrise shoot and breakfast in Monument Valley, its time to make our way to the Moab area.

Moab is home to Arches National Park and is also a short drive from Canyonlands National Park. We will drive through the newly named national monument called Bears Ears, where we can find Ancient Ruins. We will check into the motel and then head into Arches National Park or somewhere close for a sunset shoot.

9th May, 2018 – Moab
Another early start this morning as we depart for Canyonlands National Park or Dead Horse Point. We will explore this area for a few hours before heading back to Moab but there are so many locations up in this direction we could spend all day if we choose to.

10th May, 2018 – Moab to Salt Lake City
After a sunrise shoot its time to head back to Salt Lake City while stopping along the way to shoot various things before arriving mid afternoon. Take a rest and freshen up and then we will head out for dinner as a group for one last time before shooting in the city at night.

Like any trip away from home please bring personal medication requirements. We usually meet the evening before the workshop to have drinks and/or dine together and get to know each other. Please consider this when planning your travel arrangements.
